The Carleton Tavern Wings will be well represented at this years all-star game in Orleans, with Dustin Harris, Matt Deline, Mark Hamad and Alec Casey all being voted in.

“It’s always an honor to be voted an all-star, I’m really looking forward to it,” said Dustin Harris, who is headed to his second straight all-star weekend. “It’s always nice to see and play with guys you don’t normally get to.”

This will be Hamad’s first all-star game, Casey’s 4th and cagey veteran Matt Deline’s 6th all-star appearance.

While the four all-stars are headed for a fun weekend in Orleans, many of the other Wings players are off to Tremblanc for an unofficial team building weekend.

“A bunch of us are going to Bear’s (backup goalie Barret Karam) cottage to hang out and blow off some steam,” said Mike Godbout. “Some guys are really looking forward to hitting the slopes, but I’m more looking forward to the spa. I’m a big eucalyptus guy.”

However, not all is wonderful in Wings land. Some reports have surfaced that with the emergence of backup goalie Nails, Casey and his large contract might be on the way out.

Other reports indicate that center and Bytown Cup Goat Mike Hartmann is neither going to the all-star game or with his teammates to Tremblanc. Something to keep an eye on.
