The Wings continued their winning ways last night, downing the Downskis 4-1 to extend their winning streak to 5 games.

The Wings were without centreman Mike Hartmann after he was put on the CAHL COVID protocol list but the Wings showed no signs of slowing down.

“It was a team effort all around, but at the same time our big guns turned up to play tonight,” said captain Matt Deline. “We have the top four scorers in the league for a reason.”

Mark Molnar received first star honors after setting up Machon for the eventual game winning goal.

“He’s so easy to play with,” said Molnar of Machon. “He’s always in the right place at the right time and sees the game so well. He’s the Daniel Higgs of hockey.”

It was also the first game for winger Mitch Ethier after a lengthy contract dispute dragged into the start of the season.

“I’m glad its all behind me and I can just concentrate on winning hockey games,” says Either. “Unfortunately, there is a business side to hockey but its something that we all have to deal with and again I’m just glad its over.”

The Wings hope to make it six in a row when they face their first division 13 team of the season on October 28th.
