Rumours are flying around both the NHL and CAHL as Ottawa Senators GM Pierre Dorion was spotted watching the Wings practice last night at Jim Durrell arena.

“I can neither confirm or deny anything,” said Wings GM Mike Godbout. “I will say this: anything that is going to happen between the two teams will happen in the off season. Both leagues are passed the trade deadline, so nothing is going to happen anytime soon.”

The Wings are heading into action tonight against last place Les Gaulois, and they are in desperate need of a win. The team has not won in 3 straight games, going 0-1-2 over that span.

“We’ve had some injury troubles and a few bounces that just didn’t go our way recently,” said goaltender Alec Casey. “But we’ve still only lost one game all year, so I think we’ll be ok.”

The Wings will welcome back star winger Matt Sharron tonight who has been in and out of the lineup all year with various dad health issues.

“He was flying out there in practice last night,” said winger Mark Molnar. “I’m not sure if Pierre being in the stands had anything to do with it, but he’s a huge part of our lineup and we’re happy to have him back.”

Puck drop is scheduled for 10:30 tonight with a few tickets still remaining.
