Game Day Preview: Wings vs Diggers

The Wings will look to continue their hot start to the season as they go for their seventh straight win tonight against the Diggers.

The Wings will be without center Ross Machon, as he has chosen alcohol and the devil’s lettuce over his team this weekend.

“It sucks that we will be missing Mach 4, but we have guys that can step up,” said goalie Alec Casey.

The Wings will be getting two, maybe 3, players back tonight as Hartmann and Sharron will find their way back into the lineup and Glen Sloan will be a game time decision. Sloan missed last nights practice for what the team is calling a maintenance day. Rick Shean is once again on a random architecture trip and Mitch Ethier is also a scratch tonight, although his whereabouts are unknown.

“Getting Hartmann and Sharron back is a big boost to our offense,” said leading scorer Mike Godbout. “It will help take some of the pressure off me as well.”

The Diggers are coming off a tough 7-2 loss to the Reapers last week and are hoping to turn things around tonight. The game is set for a 9:30pm puck drop.
