Shean to miss time for “personal reasons”

Defenseman Rick Shean will be away from team for what they are calling “personal reasons”.

Shean, a stalwart of the defense core known as The Architect, is stepping away from the team for a personal trip to Las Vegas. Details are still murky at this time, but we have learned it is purely for fun and relaxation.

“I don’t wanna comment on it too much, but yes I need to step away to get some much needed r and r,” explained Shean. “The grind of the season is taking its toll on my body and I just need some time away to reflect and gamble.”

A private jet is set to take Shean and an undisclosed number of people to the desert where they will be partying and drinking.

Shean was quick to point out that there will be some business on the trip as well: “I am going to a hockey game while I’m there and hope to do some scouting and bring back some information and new strategies to the GM and the team.”
